Jazz up your salad with this delicious honey sweetened strawberry balsamic dressing!

This simple recipe combines only six ingredients to create a tasty dressing for green salads.  You can even add it to a sandwich or wrap for a sweet and savory flavor upgrade.

Personally, I’ve found that mouthwatering dressings help to make green salads more appetizing to my family (i.e., kids and a husband who typically do not share my enthusiasm for salad-eating).

Ingredients for honey sweetened strawberry balsamic dressing

  1. Strawberries: Fresh or frozen berries work well in this recipe.  For frozen berries, just allow them to thaw before blending ingredients together.
  2. Olive oil: Be sure to use a high quality, unadulterated olive oil.  Find my best olive oil tips and favorite brands here.
  3. Balsamic vinegar: You’ll also want to choose a high quality balsamic to make this recipe all it can be.  I like a thick, fruity balsamic for salad dressing purposes.  Find my best balsamic vinegar tips and favorite brands here.
  4. Honey: Use raw local honey, if possible.  Honey boasts superfood powers, but only when raw.  This makes it a perfect choice for salad dressing!
  5. Salt: Look for unrefined sea salt, which carries important health benefits (as opposed to table salt which has been stripped of its healthful qualities).  This is my favorite brand and you can use code KEEPITREAL to save 15% on your order.
  6. White pepper: Black peppercorns are picked before ripe, and they retain their skins.  White pepper comes from fully ripened peppercorns that are soaked, or fermented, to remove the skins.  This leads to a more complex flavor profile described as earthy or musty, which lends just the right touch of subtle spice to this honey sweetened strawberry balsamic dressing.

How to make honey sweetened strawberry balsamic dressing

This is seriously one of the easiest salad dressing recipes ever: simply combine all ingredients in a small blender or food processor and blend until smooth.  Then taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

In the market for a fantastic immersion blender that also doubles as a mini food processor and food chopper?  This one is my top choice!  I’ve used it for years and it truly stands up to loads of abuse in my hard-working homestead kitchen.
