Burger Wraps with Sweet Potato Fries and House Sauce
These burger wraps with sweet potato fries and house sauce have quickly become one of my family’s favorite easy dinners.They’re a twist on this favorite Burger Bowls recipe with all the flavor of a classic burger and fries meal, but wrapped up in a warm tortilla topped with crunchy lettuce, tangy pickles, crispy-edged beef, and plenty of creamy house sauce.
And honestly, they come together pretty fast. Mom win!
I usually start the sweet potato fries first, then work on the beef while the fries bake. Then, I prep the lettuce, pickles, sauce, and tortillas so everything is warm and ready to assemble at the same time.
These wraps are hearty, satisfying, and packed with flavor. We especially love them served in warm Siete tortillas with crunchy romaine or buttercrunch lettuce and lots of house sauce.
I always use homemade mayo for the sauce whenever possible, although a good clean store-bought brand works just fine too.

Ingredients for Burger Wraps with Sweet Potato Fries and House Sauce
For the Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet potatoes: I rarely peel them. Just scrub well and slice into wedges.
Avocado oil: Helps the fries crisp beautifully in the oven. Here’s a clean brand I love.

For the Burger Wraps
Ground beef: I use our homegrown grass-fed beef and the same cooking method as my burger bowls recipe for crispy, flavorful meat. Read this for help with sourcing clean local meats.
Tortillas: We love Siete tortillas for these wraps.
Crunchy lettuce: Romaine or buttercrunch are my favorites.
Pickles: Use your favorite (fermented!) clean brand or homemade pickles. I love homemade whenever possible.
Tomatoes: Optional, in-season. When homegrown tomatoes are in-season, we love to add them to these wraps. diced.
House sauce: The same creamy, tangy sauce from my burger bowl recipe.
For the House Sauce
Homemade mayo: My preference for the best flavor and ingredients. Get my mayo recipe here.
Ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, fresh garlic, and paprika: Simple ingredients that create that classic burger sauce flavor. Use homemade ketchup or a clean brand without HFCS.
How to Make Burger Wraps with Sweet Potato Fries and House Sauce
1. Start with the sweet potato fries.
Slice the sweet potatoes into long wedges, toss with avocado oil and salt, then spread into a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for about 30 minutes. If your oven has convection bake, use it! You’ll get crispy outsides with soft, fluffy insides.
2. While the fries cook, prepare the beef.
Turn out the entire slab of beef onto one palm of your hand, sprinkling the exposed side with organic season salt. Add the slab to the skillet, seasoned side down, then season the remaining exposed side.
I use a large skillet to cook two one-pound slabs of ground beef at a time. This is enough to feed my family of five, including three teenage boys!
Let it cook undisturbed for a few minutes so it develops a flavorful crust on the first side.
Then flip the entire slab over.
At this point, use a metal spatula to slice the beef into several long strips that will fit nicely inside a wrap. I find it works best to slice across the shorter width rather than the long length because the meat holds together better that way.
Continue cooking until the beef is browned and cooked through with crispy edges.
While the beef finishes cooking, prep the remaining ingredients.
3. Mix together the house sauce. Chop the lettuce. Slice the pickles. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or on a griddle.
To assemble the wraps, layer warm beef onto each tortilla and smother with house sauce. Top with crunchy lettuce and sliced pickles, then wrap tightly and serve immediately alongside the sweet potato fries.
Divine.
Tips for the Best Burger Wraps
Use crunchy lettuce
Soft lettuce disappears into the wrap. Romaine and buttercrunch hold up beautifully and add the perfect fresh crunch.
Warm the tortillas
Warm tortillas fold better and taste dramatically better.
Don’t overcrowd the fries
A single layer is key for crispy sweet potato fries.
Slice the beef after flipping
This helps the meat develop a crust first while still holding together nicely in wrap-sized strips.

Sweet Potato Fries Ingredients
- Sweet potatoes, 1-2 per person
- Avocado oil

Burger Wrap Ingredients
- Ground beef, 1/3-1/2 pound per person
- Organic season salt
- Siete tortillas, about 2 per person
- Chopped romaine or buttercrunch lettuce
- Sliced pickles
- Diced tomatoes, in-season
- House sauce
House Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Use convection bake, if you have it!
- Slice sweet potatoes into wedges and toss with avocado oil and salt.
- Spread fries into a single layer and bake about 30 minutes, flipping halfway if desired.
- Meanwhile, cook ground beef in a hot skillet in one large slab. Hold the slab in your hand and sprinkle season salt on the exposed side. Place the slab seasoned side down in the skillet. Season the second side.
- Once browned on the first side, flip the beef and slice into long strips using a metal spatula.
- Continue cooking until beef is browned and crispy on the edges.
- Prepare house sauce: combine 1/2 cup mayo with 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 minced garlic clove, and 1/2 teaspoon paprika.
- Chop lettuce and slice pickles.
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or on a griddle.
- Fill tortillas with beef, house sauce, lettuce, and pickles.
- Serve immediately with sweet potato fries.
