I love to decorate with junk. I love to repurpose unique materials. I love to add texture to my rooms. I love to add storage to my rooms. And I love me a good bargain!
In my efforts to make our playroom/all-purpose room/room where we spend 75% of our day more space-efficient, asthetically pleasing and functional, I came across this idea and instantly knew I’d found just what I needed for a certain space in that room. Two spaces, to be exact.
Have you heard of AnaWhite.com? Oh my goodness, if I had half the skills this woman possesses, I’d be ever-so-proud of myself. She and all her DIY plans are simply amazing. Mr. Native Texan and I are not the handiest of sorts, but this was a project we could tackle. And by “we” I mean “Mr. Native Texan.” I did procure the pallets, for free. And I cast the vision. He provided the elbow grease and power tools. And did a darned good job, I might add!

Some other time, I’ll do a more comprehensive write-up about the Playroom Overhaul. It was quite a process and we’ve been extremely pleased with the results. For now, here’s a peek at one of the pallet shelves in its home beneath our U.S. map.

Thank you! 🙂 (And thanks for the Sunshine Award….it’s been crazy around here and I haven’t had a chance to do anything about it, but it’s on my list….)
