Goat milk soap is wonderfully nourishing for all skin types, and is particularly helpful for eczema and dry, irritated, rashy skin. It’s been several years since I started using (and loving) goat milk soap, but only recently did I learn why it’s so good for my skin.
My goat milk soap comes from Renee Harris at Made On Skin Care. Renee’s goat milk suppliers Rosemarie and Michelle explain why skin loves goat milk soap…
Why is goat milk soap so much more nourishing than other soap?
Rosemarie: Any handmade soap is better than a commercial bar …which is actually a detergent bar. Alpha hydroxyl acids found in goat’s milk work with skin instead of breaking it down and aging it further. It reduces skin inflammation due to its fat molecule content. The cream present in goat’s milk is a moisturizer, soothing dry and damaged skin.
New Varieties Coming Soon!

Teresa–And yet another thing we have in common. 🙂
Hi Kathleen! Would goat’s milk soap be good to use if you have Rosacea? Why? Thanks!
Arne–I’m not sure. Renee Harris says she hasn’t had enough feedback on Rosacea to give a solid answer. But since the soap is good for so many other skin issues, it certainly would be worth a shot to use it for Rosacea, too. Keep us posted! 🙂
Wow! who knew! gotta try this on my annoying eczema patchy face! Thanks for the info!
You will love this soap, Bonnie! 🙂
