You know you’re crunchy when…you throw back a shot of this magic tonic with apple cider vinegar at the very first signs of immune distress.

Actually, you know you’re really crunchy when you see the acronym ‘ACV’ and require no explanation.  Congratulations, and welcome to the dark crunchy side!

By the way, if you consider yourself even a little bit crunchy, I highly recommend taking this funny quiz.  It’ll give you a good laugh!  Be sure to share your score over here and check out my score, too.

Back to the Magic Tonic with Apple Cider Vinegar…

About a year or so ago, I was actually drinking my Magic Tonic with Apple Cider Vinegar every day.  There are so many benefits from daily ACV consumption!

A daily tonic of ACV can provide:

  • increased energy
  • balanced pH levels (alkaline effect on the body)
  • healthy probiotics
  • reduced Candida and yeast
  • detox support
  • proper lymphatic drainage
  • support for seasonal allergies
  • and more!

In fact, reading over this list makes me want to resume that daily practice!

In Which I Consider Premixing

Truthfully, I found it difficult to maintain my daily ACV routine.  Mornings are pretty chaotic at my house, and taking the time to whip up a 5-ingredient drink for myself just fell off my list of priorities.

I’d love to experiment with premixing a large batch of this magic tonic…if any of my readers have tried that, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

Natural Immune Support

For now, I reserve my Magic Tonic with Apple Cider Vinegar for emergency situations only.

Such as last week, when I could tell my body was attempting to fight off some sort of threat to my immune system.  I even persuaded Older Bro, now 11, to drink the Magic Tonic when he was feeling under the weather just yesterday.  #momwin

For both of us, what could have turned into major immune distress passed very quickly and with far less severe symptoms.  Hooray for natural remedies!

Of course we also support our immune systems with real food and essential oils galore here at the Yankee Homestead.  You can click here to print out a free list of 20 Ways to Support Your Immune System with Essential Oils.  And click here for my favorite way to purchase essential oils.

Between our oils and other natural remedies like this Magic Tonic with Apple Cider Vinegar, immune threats don’t stand a chance at my house.  Y’all, we rarely need to see a doctor because we’re able to handle most common concerns at home.

It’s pretty empowering, and if you’re interested in learning more about how to do that at your house, drop me a line here and say I’m ready!

Ready for the Magic Tonic recipe?  It’s pretty flexible, so consider this a loose guide instead of an exact recipe.

I use a mixture of ACV, honey, cinnamon….. lemon could be added, too….. that I keep in the fridge in an ACV bottle. When I need it, I pour 2T in a cup and add warm water. It works like magic. I have a mold allergy that this helps keep at bay or kicks it in the behind.
