If there is a bedwetter at your house, you’ll want to read this review of Super Undies Bedwetting Pants.  Be sure to enter the giveaway and take advantage of the discount provided at the end of the post, too!

Please note that Super Undies did provide two pairs of Bedwetting Pants in exchange for my review, but all opinions are my own.

Desperate for an Overnight Solution

I tracked down Super Undies Bedwetting Pants after extensive online research, in efforts to find a solution for Little Brother, age 4.  He is completely potty trained, but sleeps so deeply at night that he doesn’t wake up until he, his clothes and his sheets are thoroughly soaked.

When you add middle-of-the-night changing of the sheets to middle-of-the-night tending to an infant, you get two very tired parents.  We were desperate for a solution!

In my research, I read countless great reviews from parents who claimed Super Undies Bedwetting Pants had solved their child’s overnight problems.  We couldn’t wait to try them!

Here’s my two-part verdict:

  1. If your bedwetter is a girl, I think Super Undies will work fantastically for you.
  2. If your bedwetter is a boy, they may not solve all your problems but will still be an improvement over disposable pull ups.

What we like about Super Undies Bedwetting Pants:

1. Cost savings

In our experience, this is the biggest advantage.  Disposable pull ups are expensive!

Yes, Super Undies require an investment at the beginning.  But add up the cost of two pairs of Super Undies–about $60–and compare that with the cost of disposable pull ups stretched out over time–approximately $.40/diaper, which would cost $60 for less than a 5-month supply.

By the time we discovered Super Undies, we’d spent far more than $60 on disposable overnight pull ups for Little Brother.

If you can start out with cloth pull ups like Super Undies, and completely avoid disposable pull ups altogether, you’ll save even more money over the duration of your child’s overnight pull up experience.

And if you get even more use from your Super Undies for a younger sibling or two–like I plan to do with Baby Brother in a few years–the cost savings increases dramatically.

2. No More Itchy Rashes

Little Brother constantly complained of itchiness while using disposable pull ups.  Since we switched to cloth pull ups, his itchy rashes have disappeared completely.

3. No More Frantic Diaper Runs

As much as I tried to keep a good supply of pull ups, we invariably ran out from time to time.  In addition to avoiding the cost of disposable pull ups, I also love that we no longer have those panicky moments of “Oh no! We have no pull ups for tonight!”

4. Super Powers

Super Undies possess super powers to help your child stay dry.

Just kidding!  But Little Brother really does feel so much more grownup wearing his Super Undies than he did with disposable pull ups.  Super Undies are more like underwear than a diaper, and they’ve given Little Brother more confidence to keep his special overnight undies dry.  He feels like a big boy now in his Super Undies.

Additional Info

You should also know the following about Super Undies Overnight Bedwetting Pants:

1.  Super Undies come in a variety of colors–for girls, boys and gender neutral.

2.  Super Undies are available in two fabric choices–microfiber (ours is blue) and cotton (our green pair).  I love the idea of cotton, but in our experience the microfiber tends to prevent more leaks.

Be sure to read the information provided on their website. The Super Undies folks are pretty convinced that cotton absorbs better in the long run, which makes sense to me based on our experience with cloth diapers in general.

3.  Super Undies come in several sizes.  Be sure to follow their instructions for measuring your child for the best fit.

4.  Super Undies come with one long, sewn-in insert.  You have the ability to fold the insert in order to place more layers where needed most–in front for boys, and down lower for girls.

5.  Super Undies also have a pocket which can be stuffed with additional inserts for more absorbency.  We used both microfiber inserts from Baby Brother’s BumGenius 4.0 cloth diapers and Thirsties Hemp inserts (also from Baby Brother’s stash).

6.  Super Undies also carries regular potty training undies.  If you’re looking for daytime cloth potty training underwear, check out their pull on trainers.  You might also be interested in the new hybrid trainers, which are like a cross between one size cloth diapers and potty training pull ups.

7.  Do not use fabric softener on your Super Undies!  I haven’t used fabric softener at all in years–we use these awesome (and easy to make) wool dryer balls.

Super Undies for the Win

Again, Super Undies Overnight Bedwetting Pants did not solve all our problems as I hoped they would–we still have frequent leaks that require a change of sheets in the middle of the night. But we do have fewer leaks, we’re saving lots of money, and Little Brother’s skin is no longer irritated.  So for me, that’s a win!

Bonus Bedwetting Tip:

Double sheeting Little Brother’s bed has helped tremendously!

We use a waterproof mattress protector on the bottom, then a crib protector placed across the spot where he lays, then one bottom sheet.  Next comes a duplicate layer of crib protector and another bottom sheet.  And finally, one top sheet and his blankets.

In the middle of the night, we simply strip off the wet bottom sheet and protector, change his pull up and clothes, and put him back in bed.

These look like a great alternative to disposable pull ups for my granddaughter. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Jackie on 01/27/2015 at 4:14 pm

I’m definitely going to need to try these with #2 and #3! We just got #1 out of nighttime pull-ups at 5 years old, and it was a painful transition. We also have had our fair share of frantic diaper runs when we ran out of pull-ups at bedtime!

  3. Courtney on 01/27/2015 at 4:58 pm

‘Lil toddler will be needing these soon. I’d like to try this brand.

  4. Marian on 01/27/2015 at 6:41 pm

These are interesting to me, because my four year old also has to wear pull ups at night that give him itchy rashes. This looks so much more comfortable!

  5. Annie Heinbaugh on 01/27/2015 at 7:00 pm

I have a deep sleeper! My second son as well- he is now 6!! It’s so embarrassing for him! Some nights he does fine- we just had a 5 night streak of no wetting- then this morning he wet the bed again!! I feel so bad for him!! I will have to order a pair and try this- if they make them for 6 year olds!!! Thanks for the good information!!

  6. Amy Frazier on 01/27/2015 at 7:14 pm

My 3yo son also is a heavy sleeper and I’m having to get up 3x a night to make him go potty so he doesn’t wet the bed. Needless to say, I’m tired. Is LOVE to try something at night and not use pull ups!

  7. Carrie on 01/27/2015 at 8:59 pm

Thank you for the review. I have 2 deep sleepers and it would be great to have an alternative to pull-ups.

  8. Julie Brubaker on 01/27/2015 at 10:22 pm

should definitely try these. _A savings for sure.

  9. Jen on 01/28/2015 at 12:42 am

I’ve heard of Super Undies before, but never took the plunge. I’d love to give these a try!

    Thanks

  13. reyselle jane gaviola on 01/28/2015 at 7:56 am

  14. Rachael on 01/28/2015 at 10:57 am

this would be great to try for my 3 yr old who we just potty trained.

  15. Jana Moulton on 01/28/2015 at 11:58 am

I would love to use these for my daughter. She is doing really well during the day with potty training but we have yet to conquer nighttime and naptimes. I would love an overnight undies.

  16. Carrie Burgett on 01/28/2015 at 12:26 pm

My 3 year old son needs these so badly. He is fine during the day, but at night he sleeps too soundly to wake.

  17. kim on 01/28/2015 at 12:50 pm

    How small do these come?

  18. Jessica Banham on 01/28/2015 at 12:54 pm

These look fantastic. Would live to with. The hybrid diaper in fearsome froggy.

  19. Jennifer S. on 01/28/2015 at 12:55 pm

    LOVE these!!!

  20. Candy Tryggestad on 01/28/2015 at 12:59 pm

this looks like a great option for my little potty trainer. We are struggling with a “non diaper” night time solution

  21. Elizabeth S. on 01/28/2015 at 1:29 pm

These look pretty awesome! Would love to try these out for potty training!

  22. Dana on 01/28/2015 at 2:04 pm

I would LOVE to try these for my almost 2year old daughter! We’re just about ready to potty train, and I’d love to start with a cloth alternative to pull-ups!

  23. Jenna D on 01/28/2015 at 2:22 pm

Our little lady is showing major interest in using the potty, but not consistently. We’d love to add a pair of Super Undies to our training routine!

  24. Jeasica Pankratz on 01/28/2015 at 2:36 pm

I would love a pair of cotton for my 4 year old who wets the bed!

  25. JEnnifer MOrrison on 01/28/2015 at 2:46 pm

I’m potty training my last but i think he will be the one that takes the longest to go the night dry. So these would save me a ton.

  26. Sarah Ballinger on 01/28/2015 at 2:49 pm

I have used these for a child who was five to eight years old and still soaking at night. thereare unbelievable and so worth the investment if you can initially afford to make it. We luv super undies!!

  27. Tricia on 01/28/2015 at 3:19 pm

We have used both the microfiber and cotton versions. Both are great for my son, but I have found that over time the microfiber does not absorb as well. My son also has had kore leaks as he is outgrowing his current size and we need to get the size three now. I will be getting the cotton as I feel they do not hold the odor and over time are more absorbent. Wonderful product!

  28. Amanda Temple on 01/28/2015 at 3:27 pm

I have a toddler who is trying to potty train. We love the Super Undies brand! After using cloth diapers, these are my favorite!

  29. Krista on 01/28/2015 at 6:44 pm

    Great review

  30. Cindy on 01/28/2015 at 7:21 pm

  31. Amanda V on 01/28/2015 at 9:07 pm

I would love to win a pair and stop buying the disposable ones!!

  32. Carrie mccullough on 01/29/2015 at 2:25 am

You have no idea how timely this info is! My 3 yr old (been potty trained in the day for well over a year, but her body is not ready for night time yet!) hates pulls ups and diapers. The past 2 months we have battled her to put one on at bed time…she’s a strong willed girl so I mean ,battled! She even wakes up in the night to take off the pull up or diaper and then leaves is w soaking sheets. I’ve been searching for a cloth over night underwear type thing but wasn’t sure what would work. She wants soft and not too bulky. I hope I win the drawing! These might be a perfect fit for our night time battles!

  33. Lisa H. on 01/29/2015 at 3:08 am

What a great, in-depth review! I am hoping to try these with daughter #2!

  34. Esther S on 01/29/2015 at 3:16 am

I would love to try these on my 3 year old son who is almost fully potty trained but still has some accidents, especially at night.

  35. Rebecca A. on 01/29/2015 at 3:43 am

Considering how slowly my daughter is picking up daytime potty training, I know we would get good use out of these for night time! Great, realistic review!

  36. Jessica McCormack on 01/29/2015 at 2:50 pm

Would love to try these when we start potty training! They seem like the perfect balance of absorbency and style so my lo can still feel like a big girl.

  37. Britt on 01/29/2015 at 5:34 pm

Would love to try the pull-on trainers! My oldest is potty training and he loves his big-boy underwear, but my rugs sure don’t!

  38. Sarah C on 01/29/2015 at 6:06 pm

Thanks for the review. Hoping if we win one it will make a difference for us!

Would love to try the overnights with my sweet potty training girl!

  41. Jennifer S on 01/30/2015 at 2:19 pm

I hope to win so much! I got rid of all my daughters cloth diapers, thinking she would already be fully night trained and at almost 4 ,she isn’t ready .

  42. Morgan Schwall on 01/30/2015 at 2:41 pm

These will come in handy when we begin to potty train! Our daughter is only 10 months now, so too early – but we’d love them for future use!

  43. Jenn H on 01/30/2015 at 3:38 pm

these look great! thanks for the heads up for a boy 🙂

  44. Ashley F on 01/30/2015 at 4:13 pm

We’ve started potty training and these would be so great for nap/night time. My daughter doesn’t like wearing “diapers” and prefers pull ups, but they are so expensive!

  45. Brandi swanson on 01/30/2015 at 6:08 pm

Would love to try these! Will be starting to potty train our daughter soon and hate the thought of using pullups since we us cloth diapers!

  46. Erin B. on 01/30/2015 at 6:14 pm

Just starting potty training with my almost 3 year old daughter. Would love the pull on training pants!

  47. Bianca Munoz on 01/30/2015 at 6:23 pm

I have heard a lot of good things about this! Would love to try with my almost 4 year old! He is still in cloth, but hopefully he will be ready to use the potty soon! This would help! Thank you!

  48. Karen W on 01/30/2015 at 6:44 pm

These all look like great options for potting training! I’d probably pick the Hybrids as a first step into ‘thinking about potty training’ but I like that the other 2 look very much like underwear for children that want to be ‘big kids’ but still have accidents.

  49. Jamie Hammel on 01/30/2015 at 7:14 pm

I would love to win these. We will be working on potty training our LO in the next couple of months!

What a great product! I love that they are so fun looking too so my little guy will think they are super cool to wear!

  52. Amy Rose on 01/30/2015 at 8:01 pm

I’m thinking my 4-year-old will need Superundies overnight for at least another year. Hoping he’ll surprise me and make it less! Either way, I can’t afford to keep buying disposables.

  53. Beth R on 01/30/2015 at 9:39 pm

We will be needing these very soon.

  54. jodi Armstrong on 01/30/2015 at 10:37 pm

Id love to try the nighttime undies in cotton. Microfiber just never works well for us. It always get stinky and burns.

  55. Jennifer on 01/30/2015 at 10:39 pm

These look wonderful and would be way better than disposable trainers. Thank you!

  56. Marya Mann on 01/31/2015 at 1:25 am

Thank you so much for the opportunity. I’d love to try a pair I don’t have. Thank you.

  57. Carissa Joslyn on 01/31/2015 at 2:56 am

I’m glad there are better options out there then “paper” pull ups. Since I starting cloth diapering my son at 6 months. can’t stand the sight, smell, sound of disposables anymore. but never had a issue before cloth! eye opening. my sons almost potty training now so these would be a great next step

  58. Jenn Mc on 01/31/2015 at 3:42 am

I have always wanted to try these. My daughter will be potty training this summer (I hope) so these would be great 🙂

  59. Michelle on 01/31/2015 at 3:51 am

My son sleeps so hard at night that he still wets the bed. These would be a huge blessing!

  60. Angela Britz-Robertson on 01/31/2015 at 5:58 am

These look awesome, and I’ve got a toddler who is on the verge of moving out of diapers.

  61. Lisa G on 01/31/2015 at 4:19 pm

we could really use this for our son. he swears he tries really hard to make it to the bathroom across the hall. but alas still has the occasional accidents. 🙁

  62. Carly D. on 01/31/2015 at 5:01 pm

It is an interesting design. Love this better than disposables.

  63. Diana on 01/31/2015 at 6:24 pm

These sound fantastic! Would love to win! Thanks for the opportunity 🙂

  64. Danielle Wojtusik on 02/01/2015 at 1:36 am

These look so neat! Not to the potty training stage yet, but these will be wonderful when we are!

  65. Jen on 02/01/2015 at 5:02 am

These sound awesome! Have been trying to night train our 4 yr old, but I’m not ready to completely ditch the night time diaper yet!

  66. Kaitlin L. on 02/01/2015 at 5:27 am

I’d like to win some for my daughter so we can transition into potty training.

  67. Sarah L on 02/01/2015 at 6:12 am

We’re quickly approaching the potty training stage, so I’d love to give these a try. I love all of the different options!

I’d love to win this for my nephew!

  69. Brittany P on 02/01/2015 at 10:54 am

I can totally relate right now. My oldest is pretty good during the day, but night time potty training seems out of reach at thus point. He really doesn’t want to wear diapers and I really hate middle of the night sheet changes.

  70. Monica Miller on 02/01/2015 at 2:11 pm

I love that cloth diapers go from newborn to potty trained. Thank you for this review. I will definitely check these out.

  71. Anna Monte on 02/01/2015 at 2:53 pm

These would be great to try. We to have a heavy sleeper at age 5 and are getting sick of using pull ups. I had no idea that they made something like a cloth pull up for night time. I know about trainers of course but they wouldn’t cut it for night time. Thank you for the review and the chance to win.

  72. Tracy M Dennison on 02/01/2015 at 6:20 pm

Could so use these for my son! He’s generally ok during the day now, but still wets at night. He too gets itchy from the pull ups.

  73. Keara B. on 02/01/2015 at 8:29 pm

I love the idea of using Super Undies for potty training. My daughter is potty-trained during the day, but I’m not sure how to approach nighttime because she still fully soaks a diaper. Once she has a little more control, I’d love to try these for nighttime!

  74. Pam on 02/01/2015 at 10:08 pm

These sound like a great option for my day trained deep sleeping son!

  77. All Natural Katie on 02/02/2015 at 12:24 pm
