Looking for solid essential oil recipes for diffusing?

The sky’s the limit when it comes to possible combinations, but I’m sharing a few ideas to get you started.

Remember that essential oils diffused into the air provide so much more than a wonderful scent.  Those tiny particles of oil actually cleanse the air, open airways, and affect mood.  Inhaled essential oils are readily absorbed by the body, first affecting the olfactory system, then the respiratory system, bloodstream and cells.

To receive maximum benefit, be sure to use a cold air, nebulizing diffuser designed specifically for essential oils.  And of course, you’ll want to be sure to diffuse pure, therapeutic grade oils.

I love the smell of forest, so I can’t help but feel extatic when I load the diffuser with pine branches essential oil. During winter it also helps me find the Christmas spirit faster!

Thank you for sharing so generously throughout your site, which is a treasure!

I am new-ish user (WA) of doTERRA, and I’ve been diffusing: 5-6 drops On Guard, 4 drops Lemongrass; 5-6 drops On Guard, 4 drops lavendar, at night. — Soon I will have a difusser at work, and look forward to uplifting the environment.

Cheryl–You can’t go wrong with diffusing On Guard, especially during the winter! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

What is On Guard? I do not see it in the list of oils……

          On guard is protective blend.

Joanne–Have you tried doTERRA’s Holiday Joy blend? It combines pine with other Christmasy scents–a great non-toxic way to make your house smell like Christmas. 🙂

Hi. I am new to diffusing and gave purchased two diffusers that have been quite quarky in their operation. I would so love a recommendation. I have been looking on line but way confusing. Can you please point me in the right direction.

    • Forrest on 05/14/2016 at 6:48 am

Hey I bought 2 diffusers from walmart. I believe they only sell one kind. It lights up in different colors and they run around $20 but I love them I keep one in my girls room and one in my own. I have been very satisfied with them.
You can keep one color or let it flow through all or even leave the light off!
I know this is a late response but I hope it helps!

Hey Kathleen — I just recently bought an air purifier that also allows has a diffuser on top for water-soluble oils. Can you recommend any water-soluble essential oil brands? I’m having a hard time finding any. Thanks!

    • Kathleen on 10/20/2016 at 12:05 pm

Autumn–I have no idea, sorry! I’m pretty sure all pure essential oils are not water soluble.
