What with our trip to London {it was so great, and I’ll be blogging more about it sometime soon…} at the beginning of the month, and then trying to play catch up in all areas of life upon our return, we basically skipped the first half of fall.
Which is a little bit sad, because fall is my favorite season.
We finally did get our decorations up about a week ago, though, so here are a few pictures to say “Happy {belated} Fall”!

Our little “Welcome” pumpkin is growing faded from years of use, but it still makes me smile from its spot in a pot of bright yellow mums by the back door.

- Gourds from our very own garden! The boys had a blast helping me distribute lots and lots of them to various outdoor spots, in order to “fall-ify” the exterior of the house.

Another little spot by the back door, with cheerful pansies and a pumpkin and gourd–both from our garden. (And leftover potting soil and bird seed that I should have swept away before taking this photo.) {Sigh.}

These “potato head style” pumpkin decorations are the best–easy and no mess. And our boys love them. We did eventually carve these pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns, but this part came first.

More gourds from our garden, cornstalks from our favorite pumpkin patch and my DIY Harvest Sign.
Happy {belated} Fall!
