Description

Grill perfect grass-fed beef burgers with bold seasonings, raw cheddar, and no bun. Healthy, flavorful, and ideal for summer cookouts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons season salt
  • optional: 9 slices raw cheddar

Instructions

  1. Start with chilled ground beef and form into about 3 balls per pound, or about 1/3 pound per burger. We like to arrange the burgers in a single layer on a large cutting board.
  2. Sprinkle each burger on both sides with a generous amount of Organic Season Salt.  Alternatively, unrefined sea salt and ground black pepper can be used, but we highly recommend our favorite season salt for unbeatable flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or smoker.  We preheat our smoker to 500 F.
  4. Grill or smoke the burgers for approximately 4 minutes on each side for medium.
  5. Optional: at the very end, top each burger with one slice of cheese.  We prefer raw, smoked cheddar.
  6. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
  7. These burgers store well in the fridge for several days.  To reheat, simply place in a single layer in a skillet with a bit of water in the bottom.  Add a lid and heat on low until warmed through.  For burgers that will be reheated, wait to add cheese during the reheating process.
