Description

A versatile pantry staple made with dried herbs from your garden or bulk stash. This Homemade Italian Seasoning Blend adds cozy, familiar flavor to everything from roasted veggies to stuffed peppers. Quick to mix, easy to store, and perfect for gifting

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup dried basil
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley
  • 1/4 cup dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Stir the herbs together in a bowl or pulse them briefly in a mini-food processor or personal blender. I like to blend just enough to break up the rosemary and make the mix more uniform, but not so much that it turns to powder.
  2. Store your blend in an airtight container. I typically use tall 12-ounce jelly jars and label them with printed labels from my favorite label maker.
  3. This blend also makes a lovely gift. For gifting, consider using 4-ounce spice jars or these 1.7-ounce jars.
